Domestic Machine Quilting
. . . is the process of stitching a design by freely moving and intentionally guiding the fabric beneath the machine's needle, unaided by the machine's feed dogs or any computer guided system.
This type of quilting is done on a machine that is either set on a table-top or mounted in a cabinet. Throat space depths can vary from about 8 to 16 inches.
